Every service tells you what is new. Almost none of them tell you when it actually arrived, and the two are not the same thing: a film can sit in a catalogue for a year before anybody writes it up. 36 Indian films started streaming somewhere in the United States between 1 September and 8 October 2026, and we know the start dates because the services state them rather than because we noticed.
The surprising part is what moved. 23 of the 36 are back catalogue — films that came out before 2025 and have only now turned up — against 13 recent releases. The oldest is 16 Vayathinile, from 1977. If you follow Indian cinema from abroad, the interesting thing about this autumn is not the new films. It is that a decade of Hindi cinema quietly landed on the free and cheap tiers.

How this list was made
Not by hand, and not from a press release. Every film here has an availability row whose available_since — the date the service itself states it began carrying the film — falls on or after 1 September 2026, in the United States. The list is complete rather than chosen: nobody picked favourites out of it, and nothing was left off for being obscure.
That date matters more than it sounds. For most of the services we read, it does not exist: a platform's own catalogue page states what it has, not when it got it, so the best we have is the day our crawler first saw it — which is a fact about our schedule, not theirs. The American services are the exception, and this is the one list we can date honestly. Where you see a film on this site with no start date, that is why.
Everything watchable in your country, sorted however you like, is in the catalogue.
