Based on Jhumpa Lahiri's novel, this drama follows a Bengali couple who relocate from Kolkata to New York and raise their American-born son, Gogol, whose unusual name becomes a lasting source of tension. As Gogol grows up caught between his immigrant parents' traditions and his own American upbringing, the story follows his personal relationships and gradual reckoning with his family's heritage across both countries.
