This Hindi-language drama, written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri, offers a dramatized account of the 1990 departure of Hindu residents from Kashmir Valley in Indian-administered Kashmir. It portrays these events and the circumstances that led to them as an act of genocide, an interpretation that scholars have disputed as misleading. The narrative also asserts that the true details of this history were deliberately hidden through a coordinated cover-up.
