Maurya follows Manu, a talented kickboxer raised in Bangalore by his mother after she separated from his father, a former champion boxer turned coach. After his mother's sudden death, Manu is urged to seek out his estranged father, and he ends up working quietly at the man's kickboxing academy without revealing who he is. As tensions rise around a star student's betrayal of the coach, Manu's own fighting skills come to light, setting the stage for his father to eventually train him for a major championship.
