A celebrated novelist who experiences premonitions of future events, including his own death, embarks on a final creative project. Accompanied by his dancer partner, he searches for a woman from his past while working on a novel, only to discover that the subject of his search may exist only in his imagination. As his life draws to a close, he entrusts his completed manuscript to his partner.
