Megham is a 1999 Malayalam comedy-drama directed by Priyadarshan about an army colonel who takes a solo leave after his wife leaves him, and while staying at a subordinate's home village, unexpectedly falls for a young woman named Meenakshi. His plans are complicated when he learns she is already promised to his subordinate, Manikandan, forcing him to reckon with his feelings and choices. The story follows how he responds to this discovery and the tangled relationships between the two families.
