A Punjab police constable, eager for a promotion, is sent to Vancouver to persuade his superior's estranged daughter, now working as a police officer there, to return to India along with her mother. Posing as part of a joint police operation, he mistakes her friend for her and gets entangled in misunderstandings while trying to complete his mission before his visa expires. As they spend time together, complications arise involving another suitor and the constable's growing feelings for her.
