This 2008 Indian animated feature retells the Mahabharata story of Ghatotkacha, the son born to Bhima and Hidimba, tracing his early adventures. Singeetam Srinivasa Rao both wrote and directed the film and composed its music, and the project drew international attention with a screening at the Cannes Film Festival's International Critics' Week. Its focus on the young hero later continued in a direct-to-video follow-up released in 2013.
