Chittagong

Set in 1930s colonial East Bengal, this historical drama follows Jhunku, a hesitant teenage boy caught between loyalty to a sympathetic British magistrate and admiration for schoolteacher-turned-revolutionary Surya Sen. As tensions rise between local youths and colonial authorities, Jhunku must decide where his convictions truly lie, eventually joining a group of students and young people preparing an uprising against British rule in Chittagong. Told partly through flashback from his perspective years later, the film traces his personal transformation amid the broader independence movement.
