This 1986 Telugu comedy-drama, directed by Jandhyala, follows Pandu, a Visakhapatnam detective who models himself on James Bond but is largely dismissed by police and colleagues. When a woman he cares for is falsely implicated in a businessman's murder, Pandu's investigation exposes a colleague's crime and earns him professional standing. He is then hired to trace a wealthy man's estranged illegitimate son, nicknamed Chantabbai, a search that becomes entangled with rival claimants and unexpected personal revelations.
