Set after Indian independence, this action drama follows the collapse of a lifelong friendship between a rural police officer and a landlord's son when land reform laws trigger violent conflict in their village. As the two childhood friends end up on opposing sides of a struggle over the redistribution of ancestral estates, their personal bond fractures and they become adversaries in an escalating cycle of retaliation.
