Loosely inspired by the bond between Karna and Duryodhana from the Mahabharata, this 1981 Hindi drama follows Kishan, an orphan raised alongside his wealthy childhood friend Bishan. Though separated for years after Bishan's scheming uncle arranges for him to be sent away for schooling, the two reunite as adults, with Bishan discovering Kishan's singing talent and pushing to make him a star even as his own family fortune is being secretly drained by relatives. Their loyalty is tested through financial ruin, family conflict, and a conspiracy that threatens Bishan's sanity and safety.
