Set in New York, this Tamil spy thriller follows Nirupama, a nuclear scientist unhappy in her marriage to Viswanathan, a seemingly timid classical dance teacher. When she hires a private investigator to dig into his secretive behavior, she unwittingly draws them both into the orbit of a terrorist cell, uncovering that her husband is hiding a hidden identity and a violent past tied to international espionage. Directed by and starring Kamal Haasan, the film blends personal drama with a covert intelligence plot involving India's foreign intelligence agency and the post-9/11 fight against terrorism.
