Valli

Valli is a 1993 Tamil drama about a young woman who comes back to her home village after years of schooling in Madras, unsettling her cousin Velu, who has loved her since childhood. She instead becomes involved with Shekar, a visitor from the city who arrives on a hunting trip and promises to marry her, only for the relationship to take a dark turn once his true identity as a powerful politician's son emerges. The film, directed by K. Natraj with a script by Rajinikanth, who also appears in a guest role, follows the fallout of this betrayal.
