This Tamil action drama, directed by Shankar, follows an aging former Indian National Army fighter who turns vigilante, using a traditional pressure-point martial art to kill officials he deems corrupt, while a parallel storyline follows his estranged son, a small-time bribery broker navigating his own moral compromises. As a police-led task force investigates the killings, the two men's paths edge toward a confrontation rooted in a long-standing family rift over ideals of honesty versus practicality. Kamal Haasan plays both father and son, with a supporting cast including Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar, and music by A. R. Rahman.
