After leaving prison, a man named Muthuvel travels to Vallakottai to earn money by agreeing to take the blame for a planned murder involving rival factions led by a local landlord and his opponents. While posing under different guises as the mysterious Vayuputhran, he uncovers the truth about who deserves punishment in the village and grows close to a woman named Anjali. This 2010 Tamil action film is a remake of a Malayalam movie and was directed by A. Venkatesh with music by Dhina.
