Vaazhkai is a 1984 Tamil drama directed by C. V. Rajendran, starring Sivaji Ganesan as a devoted mechanic who injures his arm at work and struggles to support his family. As he tries to secure his household and his younger son's future, tensions emerge among his children over property, loyalty and ambition, straining the family's bonds. A remake of the Hindi film Avtaar, it enjoyed a successful theatrical run after its release in April 1984.
