Set in Tirunelveli, this 2000 Tamil drama follows Thulasi, a respected and honest landlord, and his relationship with his brother Varadappan's family. When Varadappan's daughter Rani falls for the family's driver Satha, tensions rise, complicated further by a long-standing rivalry between Thulasi and a local rival who conspires to divide the two brothers. As family loyalties and old enmities collide, Thulasi's unwavering honesty is put to the test when he tries to protect the young couple.
