Set in a traditional Nair household in rural Kerala, the story follows Balagopalan, a school drawing teacher whose family believes a generational curse causes one male descendant per generation to lose his sanity. After a disturbing nightmare, relatives and villagers begin to suspect he is succumbing to this inherited madness, even as his more rational younger brother pushes for a medical opinion. The film explores how superstition, rigid family hierarchy, and generational conflict shape the community's response to mental illness and to Balagopalan's unraveling reputation.
