This Tamil drama centers on a struggling laborer, Kalyana Raman, who lives under his father's overshadowing influence while raising his young daughter Chellamma, an affectionate but academically weak child who struggles at school. Determined to secure her happiness despite financial hardship, he ultimately takes on a distant job opportunity that pulls him away from her. Directed by Ram, the film also stars him in the lead role alongside newcomers playing the daughter and other characters.
