Thalaimuraigal

This Tamil drama centers on a retired Tamil-language teacher who has been distant from his son for years after the son married a Christian woman and settled in the city. When illness forces a reunion, the old man slowly reconnects with his family, including a grandson who has grown up speaking only English, and begins teaching the boy about Tamil language and tradition. Directed by Balu Mahendra with music by Ilaiyaraaja, the story explores the gap between generations and cultures within one family.
