Teri Kasam (1982) is a Hindi drama directed by A. C. Tirulokchandar, remade from the Tamil film Puguntha Veedu, starring Kumar Gaurav and Poonam Dhillon. It follows Tony, a poor college student secretly in love with the wealthy, privileged Dolly, whose eventual marriage is complicated by class differences and Dolly's disrespectful treatment of Tony's family. Their strained relationship pushes Tony toward abandoning his old life and pursuing a singing career, setting up a story of pride, hardship, and personal transformation.
