Set in Kolkata during Durga Puja season, this Bengali thriller follows Iqlakh, a laid-off building cleaner who abducts a schoolgirl and barricades himself on an office floor, demanding only that his job be restored. A police officer under personal strain tries to talk him down while the girl's mother takes drastic action of her own, and a young reporter and her cameraman end up capturing the standoff as it unfolds. The tense hostage situation gradually exposes deeper tensions between the city's wealthy and its working poor.
