Drawing on a real string of bank heists in rural West Bengal between 1998 and 2005, this Bengali caper-thriller follows Bikram, a wrongly accused man whose harsh treatment in custody pushes him toward a life of elaborate disguises and daring robberies. His growing rivalry with police officer Sumanta Ghosal, who becomes obsessed with tracking him down, drives an extended pursuit across small-town Bengal. Personal entanglements, including Bikram's marriage to a local pickpocket and Sumanta's troubled home life, add further layers to their prolonged confrontation.
