A young man named Shivanna falls in love with Aishu, the daughter of a police official, while working as a servant in her friend's household. After protecting her from a landlord's kidnapping plot, he wins her father's approval to marry her. The film then reveals through flashback that Shivanna is actually Sri Ram, a man exiled from his village years earlier by family betrayal, and his brothers have tracked him down to convince him to return and reclaim his rightful place.
