Set in a village in coastal Karnataka, this Kannada-language drama follows a champion of the traditional buffalo race Kambala who comes into conflict with a strict forest official over disputed land. The clash draws on regional Tulu folklore and the ritual practice of Bhoota Kola, where performers become mediums for guardian spirits, tying a modern land dispute to an older story of a king's promise to a village generations earlier. As tensions rise between villagers, officials, and the demigods believed to protect the land, the film explores themes of ancestral duty, faith, and the tension between customary rights and formal law.
