Set in the rival fictional kingdoms of Dasarna and Avanthi, this 1986 Telugu period drama follows Vikrama Simha, a decorated military commander who is falsely accused of betrayal and forced into exile despite his loyalty to the Dasarna throne. His path becomes entangled with Prince Aditya Vardhana of Avanthi, a man who looks just like him, as both face political conspiracies, romantic entanglements, and threats to their respective royal houses. Krishna wrote, directed, and starred in dual roles for this large-scale production, which also featured Jayaprada, Radha, and Mandakini.
