Silsila

Set in early 1980s India, this musical drama follows Amit, a Delhi playwright, who falls in love with Chandni while his older brother Shekhar is engaged to Shobha. After Shekhar is killed in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War and Shobha is found to be carrying his child, Amit marries her out of duty, ending his relationship with Chandni. The story then follows the emotional entanglements that arise as old feelings resurface, testing the loyalties between Amit, Shobha, and Chandni, who has since married a doctor.
