Shararat follows Rahul Khanna, a wealthy but idle young man who repeatedly evades legal trouble by bribing officials, until a reckless prank that causes multiple car crashes finally lands him in serious trouble with the police. Rather than jail, a court official's suggestion leads a judge to sentence him to community service at a rural home for elderly residents, where his careless attitude clashes with the people living there. The 2002 Hindi comedy-drama marks director Gurudev Bhalla's debut and stars Abhishek Bachchan and Hrishitaa Bhatt alongside Amrish Puri.
