Set in post-independence India, this Hrishikesh Mukherjee drama follows Satyapriya, a young engineer raised by his devout grandfather to live by strict moral principles. As he takes up jobs across the country, his uncompromising honesty repeatedly clashes with a corrupt and pragmatic world, straining both his career and his marriage to Ranjana, a woman he wed after failing to protect her from exploitation by a powerful employer. The story traces how his rigid idealism shapes his relationships and his sense of self as life tests him again and again.

Where to watch in USA

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
