This 2002 Bengali musical romantic drama, directed by Haranath Chakraborty and marking Jeet's acting debut, follows Bijoy Ray, a talented young singer from a village in Burdwan who travels to Kolkata hoping to build a music career. There he becomes entangled with a woman named Sonali, who is drawn to his voice without realizing his identity, and a series of misunderstandings and hardships test his devotion as he repeatedly sacrifices his own ambitions to help her. The story, adapted from a Tamil film, became the top-grossing Bengali release of its year.
