A bank manager is falsely implicated in a robbery secretly carried out by his trusted friend, a watchman who had arranged an engagement between their children, leading to the manager's imprisonment and his family's separation. Years later, his grown son crosses paths with the friend's now spoiled and wealth-obsessed daughter, who is also being manipulated by a father-son duo posing as rich suitors to sell her off. Their reunion forces the son to bring her home against her will, setting off a tense clash of pride, class, and family honor between the two households.
