In this sequel to Sandakozhi, Balu comes home to Theni after years abroad and gets drawn into a violent feud rooted in caste conflict, as a vengeful woman named Pechi seeks to kill a young man under his father's protection. As Balu tries to shield the endangered man and keep peace during an important temple festival, he also rekindles a romantic connection with a woman named Sembaruthi. The story follows his efforts to balance family loyalty, protection of the intended victim, and the looming threat of communal violence.
