Samar is a 2013 Tamil-language mystery action thriller about a forest ranger who travels to Bangkok hoping to reunite with his estranged girlfriend after receiving a letter from her. Once there, he strikes up a friendship with a local woman and becomes entangled in a bizarre case of mistaken identity, finding himself mistaken for a wealthy businessman and drawn into a dangerous, unfolding conspiracy. As events grow more threatening, he must decide whether to flee the situation or stay and protect the people now at risk because of him.
