Saaz is a 1998 Hindi musical drama directed by Sai Paranjpye, starring Aruna Irani and Shabana Azmi, said to be loosely inspired by the lives of two famous Bollywood playback-singing sisters. It follows Mansi and Bansi, daughters of a singer-performer father, as they rise through India's music world while their bond is tested by rivalry, ambition, and personal hardship over many years. The story is framed through Bansi recounting her past to a psychiatrist, tracing how fame, jealousy, and family loyalty shaped both sisters' lives and eventually those of the next generation.

Where to watch in USA

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
