This 2011 Hindi musical drama follows Janardan Jakhar, a Delhi college student who longs to become a rock musician, believing he must first endure a devastating heartbreak to achieve true artistry. His pursuit of Heer Kaul, a young woman he becomes close friends with, sets off a chain of events involving family conflict, a period of spiritual refuge, and an unexpected rise to musical fame that reunites him with her years later under complicated circumstances. Told partly through flashback from a concert in Italy, the story traces JJ's transformation into the celebrated but troubled performer known as Jordan.
