As secrets emerge about Mallamma's true parentage and her connection to a revered, secretly buried rebel leader, tragedy forces her to flee the village and undertake a journey to Delhi in hopes of pleading her village's cause directly to Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The film blends her personal struggle with the broader backdrop of the Razakar movement and rural resistance against oppressive rule.
