Set in 19th-century Bengal against the backdrop of the indigo revolt, this Bengali period drama follows Raghu, an outlaw devoted to the goddess Kali who rises against exploitative British planters and a colluding local zamindar. As his daring raids and rescues turn him into a legendary, almost messianic figure among villagers, he builds a loyal band of fighters while confronting betrayal from within his own ranks and haunting memories of his father's execution. The story blends folklore and rebellion as Raghu's fight against colonial oppression escalates into a wider confrontation with British and local authorities.
