Provoked follows Kiranjit Ahluwalia, a Punjabi woman who enters an arranged marriage and relocates to a London suburb, where her husband's affectionate facade gives way to years of violent abuse. After a decade of mistreatment, a fatal incident leads to her being charged with her husband's death, drawing the attention of a local advocacy group and a sympathetic prison inmate who help her navigate the legal system as she fights the murder conviction. Based on a real case, the drama explores themes of domestic abuse, resilience, and the pursuit of justice within the British courts.
