A man returning from Canada to marry his girlfriend discovers he is a Manglik and must first wed a tree to break the curse. When the tree is cut down, he becomes haunted by the spirit of a woman named Shashi who once inhabited it. Through Shashi's memories, the film reveals a historical love story set during India's independence struggle between a talented but reformed singer and a gifted poet writing under a male pseudonym.

Where to watch in USA

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
