This 1997 Mumbai-set musical drama follows a choreographer and the dancers in his theatre troupe, whose personal lives become intertwined as he stages a new stage production. One dancer secretly loves him while she works alongside him, and when an injury sidelines her, he begins working closely with another gifted, classically trained performer who is already committed to a childhood friend abroad. As rehearsals progress, unspoken feelings develop between the choreographer and his new lead dancer, complicating the group's relationships ahead of the show's premiere.
