Set in the Spiti valley, the story follows Kaaya, a girl raised to enter a Buddhist monastery, who travels to Delhi to retrieve a child believed to be the reincarnation of a revered teacher. After the boy witnesses a police officer's murder, a detective named Shiven takes charge of protecting him, leading the trio into a dangerous chase back to Spiti. As Shiven recovers from injuries under Kaaya's care, an unexpected bond forms between them, forcing her to question the beliefs and restraint she has lived by.
