Odiyan follows Manikyan, a man reputed to have shapeshifting powers rooted in Kerala folklore, who comes back to his home village after being away for fifteen years. His return unsettles several locals, particularly a cousin of the woman he once loved, who harbors a longstanding resentment toward him. Set in the pre-electricity Malabar region, the story blends drama with supernatural fantasy elements tied to the legend of the Odiyan clan.
