Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero

Directed by Shyam Benegal, this biographical drama traces Subhas Chandra Bose's clandestine flight from British-held Calcutta through Afghanistan and the Soviet Union to wartime Germany between 1941 and 1943, and his later activities in Japanese-controlled Asia through 1945. It follows his efforts to build international support for Indian independence, including his work with German officials and his role in organizing Indian soldiers into a fighting force that would become the Azad Hind Fauj.
