Set in a village in Coimbatore district, this Tamil drama follows Chinnayya, a devoted young man working for a wealthy, respected landlord named Karunakaran who treats him like a son. Complications arise when the landlord's US-educated daughter Prabhavathy falls for Chinnayya, and further tension emerges with the return of Chinnayya's father, a former aide of Karunakaran who had been imprisoned years earlier over the death of the landlord's wife. The story unravels long-hidden family secrets involving the landlord's estranged elder daughter and her husband.
