Nam Naadu is a 1969 Tamil action drama in which Durai, an honest clerk determined to serve ordinary citizens, clashes with three influential men who publicly pose as respectable figures but secretly engage in corruption for profit. His stand against them, including confronting one of them over unfair privilege, costs him his job and strains his relationship with his own brother, who works for one of the trio and trusts him. Durai finds support from a coconut seller named Ammu and the slum community, and continues to challenge the trio's wrongdoing even after losing his position, setting up a growing confrontation between them.
