A professor studying snakes convinces a group of friends to join him on a forest expedition, believing that cobras can transform into human form after reaching a certain age. When one of the men shoots a serpent during a moonlit ritual, its shape-shifting mate sets out to avenge the killing, hunting down each member of the group. The 1976 Hindi horror-fantasy centers on this deadly pursuit, drawing on themes borrowed from a 1968 French thriller.
