This 1992 Kannada drama adapts the poetry of K. S. Narasimhaswamy into a narrative set in a village, following a young woman and a patriotic poet whose love is tested by her father's opposition and the dangers of nationalist activity. The film draws its emotional and thematic material directly from the lyrical works of the poet, exploring themes of romance and patriotism.
