This 1981 Tamil romantic drama, written and directed by K. Bhagyaraj, follows Raghunathan and Suguna, two job seekers whose rivalry over a position turns into marriage after a series of misunderstandings. Their happy life together unravels when an affair leads Raghu into an act of infidelity, prompting Suguna to leave him and raise their son alone. Years later the couple's paths cross again in Madras, forcing them to confront their unresolved past.
