This biographical musical drama chronicles the life and teachings of Lalan, a 19th-century Bengali spiritual leader, poet, and folk singer. The narrative unfolds through an encounter between Lalan and Jyotirindranath Tagore, an educated intellectual who visits the aging saint, leading to an exchange of ideas about Lalan's secular and inclusive philosophy that synthesized Hindu, Buddhist, and Islamic traditions. The film explores how Lalan and his followers maintained their progressive values in a superstitious society while facing opposition from religious institutions.

We checked the streaming catalogues and it isn’t on any service we cover — in any country, not just yours. Films leave and return, so this can change.

We check JioHotstar, Eros Now, Sun NXT, Prime Video, ZEE5 and 13 others. If it is streaming somewhere we don’t read, it won’t show up here — tell us and we’ll add it.
